When you're a millionaire celebrity the above mentioned sum is not that much, but $1 million for an hour of Sir Elton John's music may seem a little far-fetched to anyone! The ultimate lord of DVDs, Andrew Reynolds, will pay the British singer exactly that to have him sing at his birthday party.
It's not uncommon for people to pay celebrities to appear at various parties, but this is a new high even for the singer.
TMZ reports that an offer was made to Elton John to appear and sing for an hour at Reynolds' birthday party and - hearing the impressive offer - he immediately accepted to do it.
Reynolds made a fortune out of selling self-help DVDs, and the party he hosts this year at Surrey's Hampton Court for an exclusive gathering of 150 guests is meant to be the biggest event of this year. He wants his 50th birthday to be a memorable one and what better way to do that than have Sir Elton John sing on stage especially for you?
'Andrew loves to act the big fish and wanted a birthday to remember', a source told the press. One can probably say that he did just that with his offer that managed to make even Elton John feel 'bowled over'.
