Dell decided to launch a whole set of new monitors this week, instead of stretching the product launches over several days. Possibly because it's saving its IFA 2014 press release for other things.

We've already seen a curved ultrawide panel, as well as two normal Dell widescreen monitors, which means that only a 16:10 aspect ratio display is left.

Called UltraSharp U2415, the display is a bit taller than normal, hence the aspect ratio and the resolution of 1920 x 1200 instead of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

And since we're on the subject of specifications, here are the rest: a response time of 6 ms (with FAST mode enabled, and still not that great, but at least it's not 8 ms), a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, brightness of 300 cd/m2, and white LED backlighting (W-LED).

There's also a 5-port USB 3.0 hub, as well as a stand with rotate, height, swivel and tilt adjustments. Finally, connections to PCs are established via DisplayPort, mini DisplayPort or one of the two HDMI inputs.

There's a DisplayPort output as well, for daisy-chaining up to three monitors. Might not be such a bad idea, given the slim bezel of 6.9 mm.

The Dell UltraSharp U2415 AH-IPS monitor has a price of $537 / €409, or the equivalent in Yuan in China.
