14 DAY TRIAL // Plastic surgery is becoming a very accessible method to “correct” or “improve” that which Mother Nature gave us. At this point, having had work done is no longer a taboo topic, especially in certain circles and with people of a certain age.
However, even in this context, transforming yourself completely through plastic surgery when you’re not even done growing up yet is startling. Yet this is what a 15-year-old girl from China did, apparently in a bid to cure a broken heart and maybe get back at the boyfriend who dumped her.

Plastic surgery in China is very common, with women (mostly young) willing to travel some distance to get the best and cheapest work possible. Preferred interventions include eyelid surgery, which removes excess skin and creates wider eyes, and chin / jaw reconstruction, which is meant to give the face a more oval or heart-shaped look.
Still, you will agree, getting a complete makeover through surgery at the age of 15 seems excessive and not at all healthy.
Lee Hee Danae was born in May 1999 and she has managed to make herself into her ideal woman, the Daily Mail reports, citing various Chinese-language publications. She hails from central China and reportedly got the work done after a bad breakup, looking to boost her confidence and probably get back at the guy by showing him what he was missing.
Further details on this interesting and out of the ordinary case are unknown as of the time of writing, but speculation has it that Danae had everything from her breasts to her eyes, chin, nose and lips done. You can see her complete makeover in the gallery below.
She is currently the latest viral star on Chinese social media, with various outlets from the US and UK picking up on her story. The language barrier makes it difficult to find out more about her at the time, or even to address speculation that some of the photos she posted online are enhanced.
Apparently, not everyone believes that she could have gotten this much plastic surgery; those who do think she’s “too beautiful to look at.”
Plastic surgery tourism
The Mail notes that tourism for plastic surgery from China to South Korea has picked up considerably over the last year, to the point where women coming back home needed extra documentation to confirm their identity.
Last year, there have bene several cases of women who crossed borders to get surgery and were detained on their way back because they no longer bore any resemblance to the woman in the passport photo.
Hospitals in South Korea started handing out “plastic surgery certificates,” which also included their full name and passport number, along with the details of the interventions underwent, just so they could get back home.
