A plane has crashed in the French Alps area on Monday, March 4, killing two people. A 15-year-old girl has miraculously escaped death in the horrific accident.

Christian Post writes that the incident occurred in a residential area, in the proximity of Geneva and near the border between France and Switzerland.

The small plane smashed into the roof of a house and came to an abrupt halt in the yard of a neighboring residence.

While authorities have mentioned that the aircraft is a PRM1 twin-engine corporate jet, the identities of the victims are not known at this point. The plane departed from the Annemasse airport and stopped working soon after.

A man in his 50s was flying the aircraft, and has lost his life in the accident. The young girl has been severely injured, incurring wounds in the pelvic area.

Authorities have confirmed that no other people have been harmed on the ground. They are waiting until the girl's family is alerted to release her name.

News of the accident comes after a deadly crash we reported about yesterday, in New Mexico. No survivors were registered as a small single-engine aircraft collapsed after take-off at the Angel Fire airport, on Sunday.

“When I came up on the scene there was really nothing left of the aircraft or to indicate that it was even an aircraft,” witness Michael Turri told authorities at the time.

“It appeared the plane was trying to build altitude leaving the runway and caught the wind wrong and took a nosedive for the ground,” described Taos resident John Nelly.

While officials are yet to make the names of the victims and the connection between them public, the plane was registered to Scottsville in Texas. Preliminary reports indicate that the people on board might hail from San Antonio.
