A teenager from Columbus, Ohio, has been hospitalized after he had played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for four days straight.

Video games can get plenty of people addicted to their virtual action and we’ve already seen some rather disturbing cases in the last few months after Blizzard released its Diablo 3 RPG.

Now, another game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, has claimed a new victim, in the form of a 15-year-old boy from Ohio.

According to CBS, the teenager locked himself in a room and played a marathon session of the online shooter for four days straight.

He then exited to interact with his mother and aunt but quickly fainted.

“It’s like he was looking at me but he wasn’t there. It was like he was looking through me,” the boy’s aunt said. “We were talking and I heard a thump and I looked over and he just fell.”

The boy was quickly rushed to the hospital where medics rehydrated his body.

He’s now in stable condition and his mother, who really shouldn’t have let him play Modern Warfare 3 in the first place, given the game’s Mature rating, has confirmed that his Xbox 360 console has been confiscated.
