14 DAY TRIAL // A gator hunter from Little Rock, Arkansas has landed the largest catch of the week in Hempstead County.
Drew Baker describes the moment when he has landed the gator. He didn't expect to catch anything when he went out hunting on Thursday.
It is just the second alligator hunting session for Baker and he has harpooned a gator measuring 13.9 feet (4.2 meters). The beast weighed 1,100 pounds (500 kg), and had to be tied up with rope.
"This one being as big as he is, he just thought he was the king of the lake anyway. He wasn't going to be afraid of anybody," Baker tells THV 11.
He is now hoping that he can get 400 pounds (181.5 kg) of meat from it.
