Elitegroup Computer Systems, better known to end users as ECS, announced the launch of a new motherboad line that comes with a 1333MHz frontside bus. The new motherboards are built around the G31 chipset series, the G31T-M and P33T-A, along with the 945GCT-M2/1333, being aimed at Intel platforms as a competitive solution, "boasting a combination of creative and practical features at an affordable cost", according to the manufacturer's press release.

Two of the new mainboards, the G31T-M and P33T-A, are designed to host the powerful Intel Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Duo processors and are specifically aimed for home and office use as they integrate the responsive Intel GMA 3100 graphics core that supports Microsoft DirectX 9.0c and Shader Model 3.0 (software only) and an expansion slot based on PCI Express x16 that will allow users to add a compatible discrete graphics card. As the G31T-M comes in the small form factor of the mATX standard it is well suited for entry-level users and office systems. The larger P33T-A mainboard is a full ATX board that is aimed at users wanting more performance while staying on a low budget. In order to face the memory hungry application found in every new computing system, both G31T-M and P33T-A comes with two memory slots that can accommodate up to 4GB of dual-channel DDR2 800 memory.

The third ECS launched motherboard is the one codenamed 945GCT-M2/1333 and it is centered around the Intel 945GC chipset. It supports the faster 1333MHz frontside bus and can be equipped with dual channel DDR2 memory modules that are clocked at 667MHz, reaching a maximum of installed memory of 2GB. Because of its support for the fastest Intel compliant frontside bus available, the 945GCT-M2/1333 can accommodate all Intel Core 2 Duo and Celeron D processors that are using the 1333/1066/800/533MHz FSB.

The 945GCT-M2/1333 comes with an integrated video solution thanks to the Intel 945GC chipset that natively supports Microsoft DirectX 10 and can share up to 224MB of Dynamic Video Memory from the system memory. A PCI Express x16 expansion slot allows users who want more graphical power to install a compatible graphics discrete card. According to the manufacturer company "both the G31T-M and P33T-A motherboards support 6-channel high definition audio output to deliver premium digital sound and advanced features such as multiple audio streams and jack sensing. This gives these two motherboards the capability to be the heart of digital entertainment systems for a complete multimedia experience".
