14 DAY TRIAL // Based on "13 Most Beautiful Women and 13 Most Beautiful Boys" of late Andy Warhol's, canvas mounted portrait prints of Second Life avatars are now available to drool over, posted by Italian artists Eva and Franco Mattes. Still, they are Second Life subscribers' creations and some of them are true masterpieces. Some of the 13 displayed must surely have their real-life counterparts.
And wouldn't it be a shame if there weren't some true story behind the beautiful characters? You'd almost 'want' to find out where they got their inspiration from. Think about it this way. You're a subscriber right? You get on with whatever you do in Second Life and all of the sudden, the gorgeous babe in the picture appears (you know she will look the same as in the game don't you?). Well, you don't reckon it would take her more than a second to get your attention, now do you? Moving on, as soon as you two lovebirds start chatting, for all you know you could be tricked into losing everything you've accomplished up until that point.
You may not know this but there's currently 1.9 billion linden dollars in the SL economy, which works out to roughly 7 million USD. You'd like to grab a big piece and run to the Bahamas with that beautiful avatar now, wouldn't you? In a game where everyone is thinking of ways to make hard cash in a fantasy world, why wouldn't that person use fantasy to his/her advantage? The money does eventually turn into real cash. Of course, it's pretty hard to convince anyone that your avatar is actually you, but it should present one with some advantages.
