Apple is reportedly planning to unveil the iPad mini next week on October 23, but the Cupertino-based company is apparently pondering the debut of another important product.

The editors over at 9to5mac write that Apple wants to debut the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display during the same invitation-only event that will witness the launch of the smaller iPad.

Citing “a consistently reliable source at a high-profile U.S. retailer,” 9to5mac reports that the new 13-inch MacBook Pro will come in two different hardware versions featuring different processors and storage.

Pricing is obviously yet to be confirmed, but the new product will most likely be a bit more expensive than the standard 13-inch MacBook Pro, just like it happens with the 15-inch model.

More information, however, is likely to emerge soon, as we get closer to the official launch day.
