That makes it compatible with the 633x specification and good for sports camcorders

The Class 10 specification defines a memory card with a writing speed of at least 10 MB/s, and this is precisely the technology that Lexar's new 128 GB High-Performance microSDXC UHS-I card supports.

That's only half of it though. The other half of the news is that the UHS-I card meets 633x speed rating, meaning it can read data at 95 MB/s.

Because of that, it can capture up to 15 hours of video in HD quality, while also allowing the photos and videos to be quickly transferred from the card to a PC or Mac.

And since Class 10 write speed is just a guideline more often than not, I'm pretty sure the real-life write speed will be a fair bit above 10 MB/s, so the transfer from a PC to the card should go just fine as well. Not that you'll have cause to do much of that, considering that the card is meant as part of sports camcorders, smartphones, and tablets.

Lexar ships the microSDXC UHS-I card (633x) with a USB 3.0 card reader (backwards compatible with USB 2.0, of course). Everything, plus a lifetime warranty, has a price of $119.99. That's €92.68, but the EU price may be of €119.99 instead, since exchange rates seldom matter.
