A woman from China could be the oldest person in the world, according to paperwork filed last week with Guinness World Records.

According to her birth documents, Fu Suqing is 115 years old. The former holder of the title, Jiroemon Kimura of Japan, passed away at the age of 116 years old earlier this year.

The record went to 115-year-old Misao Okawa, also of Japan, but Suqing's claim would gain her the title.

Suqing's birth record stated that she was born in 1897 in Sichuan Province, but they still have to be checked out before the title is awarded.

She has 48 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Metro writes. Her large family helps her with chores, but she still keeps very much active. She is suffering from eyesight and hearing loss, however.
