The New York Yankees have met a man who is probably their oldest fan, 111-year-old Bernando LaPallo. He got to meet manager Joe Girardi during batting practice.

He also has a talk with Derek Jeter, and they discussed the player's accident. An excited LaPallo has described it as the best day of his life.

"This is the greatest day of my life. The Yankees and I were born in the same year, 1901," LaPallo says.

He has been a life-long Yankees fanatic, which is nothing short of remarkable since LaPallo is nearing the age of 112. He even remembers the team from back when they were called the New York Highlanders.

According to the Christian Post, he was born in Brazil but moved to New York, where he has lived for the last 90 years.
