It will probably cost well ahead of the $40K / €29K of the 85-inch

110-inch television sets with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, or 3D support, or both, have been around for over a year, but this is still the largest consumer display size out there, so Samsung is bound to turn heads with it at CES 2014.

Sure, the novelty is wearing off, especially after the company's booth at IFA 2013 back in September had one of those things on display for the whole world to see, but the effects aren't likely to be lessened this January.

For those unaware, CES 2014, the Consumer Electronics Show, is a worldwide convention that takes place every year in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Samsung intends to put on display a new UHD TV there, of 110 inches in diagonal. It's bigger than a double bed, at 2.6-meters by 1.8-meters (8.53 x 5.90 feet).

The product will be selling even before then though. In fact, Samsung is already shipping it to stores from China, the Middle East and some European countries.

Sadly, nothing beyond the resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) and the physical size is known. No brightness, color saturation details and other things like that have been disclosed.

We can be sure that a while bunch of video inputs are part of it though, maybe multiple HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort (multiple of each that is, especially HDMI).

Samsung doesn't expect many consumers to afford it though, or have rooms big enough to accommodate one of these things, at least not without looking awkward. Instead, it hopes to get demand from large companies and government agencies.

The name of the 110-inch UHDTV is 110S9 according to the information release in South Korea (Samsung's home market). You should be able to place custom orders soon, and maybe some regions already allow this.

Check with retailers and Samsung representatives in your region if you really want one. Since the 85-inch UHD TV costs $40K / €29K, the price is bound to be well beyond that.
