The Bieber-mania is showing clear signs of taking over every aspect of our life, all over the world. An 11-year-old girl named mayor for a day of a Texas town honored her idol by naming a street after him, it has emerged.

Though it’s something that every other young, female Belieber would do, Caroline Gonzalez is the first to actually have this opportunity.

Made mayor for just one day, the little girl made sure her first big decision was to have a street named after Justin Bieber, E! Online reports.

“Caroline Gonzalez, 11, who was named ‘mayor for a day’ in Forney, Texas, after winning a contest designed to spark government interest in young people, wasted no time in putting her power to, er, good use,” the e-zine reports.

Photos of Gonzalez standing a street sign that reads “Justin Bieber Way” have already emerged online and caused mixed reactions in those who saw them.

First of all, the “mayor for a day” initiative was meant to get children interested in politics, so she shouldn’t have been allowed to take such a subjective measure, it is being said.

Then again, think of the interest in her town Gonzalez has generated, her defenders argue. Justin Bieber himself may return the favor by coming to perform here, E! ventures a guess.

Asked what prompted her to make this measure her first order of business, Gonzalez puts it simply, why not?

“Because I really like Justin Bieber. I like his music and I like him. And I thought, why not have a street in my hometown named after my favorite singer?” she says for the same media outlet.

Of course, she’s not the only one to “really like” Justin Bieber. Recent figures indicate that, in the top 10 of most popular women online, he ranks second. Yes, indeed, Justin Bieber is the second most popular woman, it wasn’t a typo.
