We've come across so many Internet tablets these past few months that keeping track of each and every single one of them can prove to be a fairly difficult task, even if there are a few that manage to really stand out from a crowd, this being the case with the TW317A7 Windows 7 Tablet that has just been revealed in Japan by Onkyo.

Given the fact that it runs the aforementioned operating system from Microsoft, it should come as no surprise that the table is powered by Intel's N450 Atom CPU, running at 1.66 GHz and accompanied by the Intel 82801HBM Chipset, as well as 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM memory.

In order to keep the tablet as slim and as portable as possible, Onkyo decided to opt for a 32GB SSD storage unit, which provides plenty of space (given the typical usage scenarios for this category of products).

As mentioned right from the start, we're talking about a 11.6-inch tablet, its touchscreen TFT LCD display delivering an 1366 x 768 pixels resolution with the help of the built-in Intel GMA 3150 graphics card.

Similar to most other products of this type on the market, the tablet from Onkyo also comes with plenty of connectivity and networking options under the hood, including here Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) Bluetooth Ver.2.1 + EDR, and HDMI for connecting to an external HD display.

Plus, for easier communication, the tablet also packs a 1.3-megapixel webcam module, as well as built-in microphone and speakers, while carrying this thing around shouldn't prove to be much of a challenge, given the fact that it measures 295 x 195 x 14 mm and weighs around 1 kilo, including here the rechargeable battery that provides roughly 4.4 hours of functioning life per charge.

We haven't been able to come across the pricing for Onkyo's 11.6-inch tablet, but given the fact that it's offered in a partnership with Japanese carrier KDDI, we're pretty sure that some subsidizing will be involved.
