Would you pay $10.000 for two loudspeakers? Would your friends? Would anyone? Of course someone would and even more, they will! If you can't catch your breath yet, hold on, as there is more. First of all they come from Bang&Olufsen and this adds a lot to the price due to the notoriety B&O have managed to achieve during the last 20 years and more.
Nevertheless, the BeoLab 9 Series are more that state-of-the-art speakers: they are the best B&O has to offer at this moment and definitely one of the best-sounding high-end (or should we say highest of the high-ends?) speakers on the face of the Earth.
Pumping a staggering 700W power-level with long-term recommendation down to max. 600W, these three-way amped active loudspeakers promise
and deliver everything in what sound may be concerned: a constant and linear bass response down to 30Hz, 180 degrees-wide highs at a hallucinating power of 100W and mids to match the same power specs.

Moreover, the speakers feature a manual switch which allows them to output their best, almost wherever you might put them in your room. To ensure that sound pressure is delivered at optimum levels, the 10" bass driver beats in a 18L enclosure and the mids resonate in a 4L one. The Acustic Lens Technology makes sure that BeoLab 9 Series speakers will be heard exactly the same as you move through the room: the 180 degrees horizontal dispersion of the high frequencies ensure the same distribution throughout the chamber the speakers are in, so your listening experience will be like no other so far.

B&O also offers a very useful technology embedded in the BeoLab 9 Series: the Adaptive Bass Linearisation which is responsible for dramatically reducing distortions at very high levels, as well as no longer allowing the actual membranes of the speakers to get damaged the way usual speakers do when played a long time cranked up all the way. Since playing them both at 600W all the time is rather impossible, B&O thus ensures you lots of hours of high-quality audio fun. Even the size and looks are more than convenient and surely the BeoLab 9 Series won't block your window nor hinder your eye: measuring less than 80 cm in height, these speakers come in four colors (black, blue, red and dark grey) and will surely fit in any house ready to receive them.
As a final word, I'll add that the Bang&Olufsen BeoLab 9 Series can be freely used as a standalone pair of speakers for your audio system or TV set, or they can work perfectly as parts of a more complex 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 surround speakers, both front and rear. Watch out the power, though: a small mistake or finger itch on the remote control could make your house shake and your windows crash, blowing out through your porch! I'd say that the BeoLab 9 Series form B&O have almost anything someone could want from a speaker: slight and sleek, artsy design, tremendous power, the mark of a luxury manufacturer; if you have some extra $10.000 you might very well think of buying them!
