106-year-old Reba Williams from Columbus, Ohio is finally getting her diploma from Mount Vernon High-School, which has been overdue for decades.

Reba failed to get her degree the first time for rebelling against a teacher and refusing to read a book assigned to her.

A presumably stubborn and willful lady, the former Malabar Farm State Park cook had read it already and dubbed it useless to redo the assignment.

"She said the book was not worth reading and she'd already read it once and didn't like it and wasn't going to read it again," her granddaughter, Lavata Williams, tells the Mansfield News Journal.

She didn't have to pass any exams to get the degree, instead the Board of Education approved it on February 18, after receiving a suggestion by someone who read an article on the matter in a local newspaper.
