The ones that are going to enjoy all this speed are the NTT DoCoMo users.

If anyone remembers the times when PCs were using modems and all over the world you could hear people swearing the hell out their dial-up provider because they couldn't get a free line to connect to the server, than the following piece of info could mean something for you (as it did to me).

The NTT DoCoMo carrier from Japan has launched a request to NEC for Super 3G handsets and the guys from NEC were fast as lightning and gave the request a quick "Roger that!" and went forward announcing that they will be the ones to develop the name technology for inclusion in the carriers handsets, the launching date being, as they say, some time during 2010.

Why am I so thrilled about this? Well, ONLY because the lucky Japanese that will get their hands on such a mobile phone will be able to reach download speeds of more than 100 Mbps and upload ones of over 50Mbps. Together with these mind-blowing figures, at least for today's mobile market, one will also get low-latency data transmission and improved spectrum efficiency, two features that will make your previously hellish mobile life reach new peaks of heavenly bless.

The main thing responsible for the numbers mentioned above is the very advanced HSPDA (high-speed downlink packet access) technology that goes hand in hand with the HSUPA (high-speed uplink packet access), two technologies that become standard for the W-CDMA transfer technology with the help of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).

I don't know if I will have the occasion to test those kinds of super fast wireless networks in the future, but I'm pretty sure that some Japanese folk is going to get really happy about the speedy downloads its phone is capable of.

This way, once again, the Asian people (will) get all the best releases on the mobile market.
