I'm sure that by now you are familiar with the "The Wow Starts Now" slogan that Microsoft is making synonymous with the marketing campaign of Windows Vista. Microsoft Chairman Bill
Gates has explained at the beginning of January - concomitantly with the launch of the "Show us your Wow" campaign - what Microsoft was trying to deliver with the Wow approach.

Gates recalled a moment from 1974 when Paul Allen has shown him an article in the Electronics magazine announcing the new 8080 microprocessor made by Intel. For Bill Gates, that was a Wow moment, one comparable to the birth of his children and the 30 billion donation Warren Buffet made to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Microsoft has applauded Windows Vista as another Wow moment. And in this regard, the Redmond Company has also comprised a list of no less than 100 reasons why the users will be left speechless at the first contact with Windows Vista.

The list with those 100 reasons why everyone's so speechless is available via this link. Everything from the Windows Aero interface, to Instant Search, to the Windows Photo Gallery and to the Built-in Diagnostics of the operating system is a Wow reason.

"99. Because you get more out of information when you share it. Improved File and Folder Sharing allows you to more effectively share folders and files with others on your networkN by making it easier to find and configure sharing features, like specifying who you want to share a file with and the level of access you want to enable," reads Microsoft Wow reason number 99.

However, the downside of this is that due to the differences between the various editions of Windows Vista, product features that determine the 100 Wow reasons are available only in certain versions of the operating system.
