The tablet probably won't have the same hardware scheme as Nokia's first idea

Nokia would have launched a tablet powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor this year (2012), but Microsoft's Windows 8 /RT operating system, and the Surface tablet, killed those plans.

Now, the company believes it has waited enough. Deeming the new operating system, Windows RT in particular (Windows 8 for ARM), a viable element in tablet development, it has decided to make a new 10-inch tablet.

According to Digitimes, the tablet will be complete by February 25-28, 2013, when the Mobile World Congress trade show takes place, in Barcelona, Spain.

No hardware or software details have been disclosed yet. We assume that Nokia will follow its initial blueprints, but it may also use the NVIDIA Tegra 4 Wayne SoC (system-on-chip), which we detailed here just yesterday (December 18, 2012) and which is six times better than Tegra 3.
