14 DAY TRIAL // The latest episode of America’s Got Talent brought again confirmation that, sometimes, talent can be found in the unlikeliest of places: Jackie Evancho, aged only 10, has won over the judges, audiences and people at home.
Jackie Evancho has a voice that can supposedly make angels weep, coming from the body of a 10-year-old girl who bursts into tears when offered tickets to the Harry Potter theme park.
She’s a contestant on the latest season of AGT, where she ended up after the public voted her on YouTube – and is now fighting for a spot in the finals. Judging by how her performance went, she’s almost there, Fox News says.
There’s not really much to say about Jackie: when she walks on stage, she appears to be a regular 10-year-old who’s probably trying her chances on the show because, one may assume, she can carry a tune decently.
It’s when she opens her mouth and starts singing that one truly gets goose bumps, as one of the judges on the show also notes – because she has the mature voice of a “seasoned opera house singer.”
For those of you thinking that this is just exaggeration, below is a video that more than confirms just how brilliant this 10-year-old is.
“Jackie Evancho, who appeared Tuesday’s America’s Got Talent has already wowed judges with her amazing opera skills and now she’s advanced to the next round,” Fox News says.
Reaction to Jackie has been strong online as well ever since she first broke on the stage.
“And it’s not just the judges who are taken with the opera prodigy. It seems fans across the country are as impressed with her talents as well, as her last appearance drew a whopping 10.5 million viewers,” the e-zine notes.
Should she enjoy the same support from audiences as she did until now, Jackie stands very good chances of winning the big money prize and getting her own record label deal.
“The Pittsburgh native’s voice was so astounding, host Nick Cannon and judge Piers Morgan both joked that she must be a grown woman posing as a child. She also earned a standing ovation from all the judges and is now in the running to win the $1M prize,” Fox News further points out.
