As part of a joint operation by West Midlands and Leicestershire Police in the UK, a 10-year-old boy and a 37-year-old man were arrested for stealing a reported £400,000 ($654,000 / €480,000) worth of Apple goods from homes, pubs, and shops.

The Coventry Observer reports that the duo were responsible for stealing iPhones and iPads worth well over half of million dollars (£400,000 / $654,000 / €480,000).

They were arrested on Wednesday, after officers forced their way into their home. At the location, authorities discovered “computer equipment, phones, clothing and a substance believed to be drugs,” all of which were seized.

Investigating Detective Inspector Nick Dale said, “We want the community to sit up and take notice of our efforts to tackle organised crime. Law-abiding citizens can rest assured we’re taking strong action against suspects, whilst criminals should be asking themselves ‘am I next?’”
