Those wishing to give it a try can only do so until February 12

The people in charge of running the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans are quite convinced that no Super Bowl should ever go without a trademark drink. Hence their rolling out a $10,000 (€7,334) cocktail.

This luxury drink is made of D'Oliveiras Malvasia 1907 Madeira Cobbler, and the hotel serves it in a silver julep cup decorated with fresh fruit and souvenir gold key, sources report.

Apparently, the hotel only intends to serve this luxury drink until February 12, so those wishing to give it a try are advised to hurry up and head towards New Orleans.

Just in case anyone was thinking that said sum of money is simply too much to spend on a cocktail, regardless of how tasty it might be, it looks like the hotel is willing to offer some other perks to the people willing to buy it.

Thus, the drink's price also includes a future stay at the Windsor hotel (i.e. two nights in a penthouse suite, transportation to and from the airport, champagne on arrival, a city tour, an evening at Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse, two spa treatments and dinner at the hotel's restaurant, The Grill), so in the end it all seems worth it.
