1 vs. 100 is one of the most interesting things happening at the moment on Xbox Live. The game is still in the beta stage but manages to attract a lot of gamers who test their trivia knowledge while also enjoying the social aspects of the crowd interaction.

Until now, people who took part played for bragging rights as the developers of the game did not implement prizes in the beta but all of that is set to change on Friday, July 10, as Microsoft should add prizes for those who take part, ranging from Xbox Live Arcade game to packages of as many as 10,000 Microsoft Points that can then be used in the Marketplace.

To get a chance at those prizes, players should either be The One or a part of the Mob. As The One, players can take out members of the Mob to get as many of 10,000 points if all are taken care of. Those who are in the Mob should expect the One to make a mistake in order to get a shot at their points and an Arcade game.

From the rest of the crowd, only the top three scoring players automatically get a game, as well as being entered into a sweepstakes in which they can get either a Zone or a home theater system.

1 vs. 100 is launching in the United Kingdom on Friday, also in beta form. Stephen McGill, who is the director for the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft, stated that “Xbox is delighted to team up with Endemol to bring the hit TV game show 1 vs 100 to the Xbox LIVE platform and deliver the first truly interactive game show experience. We believe consumers will really enjoy being able to take part in a real live game show, where they can have fun challenging friends, family and other LIVE members, whilst having the chance to win some really great prizes.”
