The best thing that Leona Lewis fans can dream of as regards the British hitmaker is to ever have the chance to see her on stage and perhaps sing along to some of her tracks. For fans with money, though, the range of options is a bit wider, as Libby Caudwell, daughter of Phones4U founder, can testify, since her parents paid Leona £1 million to perform at her birthday party.

Leona is now supposedly working on her second album, the follow-up to her immensely successful “Spirit.” Officially, she is on a month-long holiday, so chances of convincing her to perform for an entire night have been a bit slim at first, reports in the British media have it. Still, not only has she agreed to do the gig, but she has even had plenty of fun by having the birthday girl, Libby, come up on stage for an impromptu duet.

“It was like a dream. She has not stopped talking about it ever since. Libby knew something was going to happen, but she just couldn’t believe it when Leona walked on stage. Like most girls of her age, Libby is a massive fan of Leona. But most fans have to make do with listening to her tracks – not doing a duet with her.” one partygoer tells The Sun, as quoted by the Daily Mail. Either way, the concert has been fun both for the guests and for Leona herself, who has had quite a blast and has been paid very well for it.

“Leona was not supposed to do any live shows until next year, but she made and exception. It’s a hell of a lot of money and was a great party, so it was fun being involved.” a source reportedly close to the singer says for the aforementioned publication. Holding a private concert (in front of about 200 guests or so) is also good practice for Leona, as R&B singer Ne-Yo pointed out in the past that she might want to consider performing more often to overcome her shyness in front of large audiences.

“Leona is very shy, which could be a good or a bad thing. In this business, people want to know you so you’ve got to be willing to give it. I hope she starts doing shows to build up her stage presence as it’s something you’ve got to train for.” Ne-Yo, with whom Leona became acquainted while in the US promoting “Spirit,” shared a while back.
