FF almost 21

Looks like 1.5 million fans of the role-playing game Final Fantasy XII will be happy as Square Enix decided to ship an impressive amount of game copies. This is the largest-one North American availability of any game in Square Enix's history.

I bet Final Fantasy will register huuuuge sales in North America as it already managed to sell over 2.4 million copies in Japan (not counting the bootleg versions). Are there so many FF fans out there? I guess so.

The Final Fantasy franchise has proven to be a successful and long-lasting one, as the first game in the series was released back in 1987. The games' success is probably due-in part- to its availability on all platforms. FF is even available on mobile phones, not mentioning all the game consoles.

The PlayStation 3, Wii and PSP will also know Final Fantasy as some future installments of the game are due to come out exclusive for these platforms. Square Enix sold over 60 million FF units up to this date.

As the first installment of the game was released back in 1987, Final Fantasy is almost 20 years old, probably older than most of you who will go out and buy the game. In fact, soon, FF will be able to purchase alcohol and gamble in Las Vegas casinos.
