Patch was supposed to solve problems but instead breaks essential mechanics

The Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 received a new Skyrim patch today but it seems that gamers might do well to hold off on applying it because it appears to break the resistance mechanics in the game and also lead to some backward flying dragons.

Gamers have been waiting for the long promised post-Thanksgiving patch for The Elder Scrolls V for some time and Bethesda promised that it would solve, not introduce, most game bugs.

The biggest problem is that regardless of racial picks, god allegiance, stone choice and equipment that is used the player will always take full damage from enemy attacks, which makes a number of in-game encounters all but impossible to complete.

The problem has been reported on the official forum at Bethesda but no official response has been yet delivered and some people are reporting having no problems, which might mean that the problem is there and they have just not noticed it.

Players should refuse to install Skyrim patch 1.2, which will disable online play but will make their experience a lot more bug free.
