James Patterson, renowned author with some 140 million books sold globally, is making his casual games debut based on one of his best-selling series of novels, Women's Murder Club, or WMC, in short. WMC will be the first property to be brought to the mass-market casual games audience through James Patterson Entertainment's exclusive partnership with Oberon Media.

But that doesn't happen until next year, so the best you can do is learn more about the new WMC series of games today. You will get to play as each of the founding members of the Women's Murder Club: Lindsay Boxer, Cindy Thomas, Claire Washburn and Jill Bernhardt. As one of the talented women, you will use your expertise and instincts to uncover clues to San Francisco's most grisly homicides.

For example, Claire has a bunch of chemicals she's going to use to test the blood sample from the victim. Every time Claire tests a chemical, she marks the reaction she gets in her computer. If there is a suspicious substance in the victim's blood, she (you) will know immediately (click on the image to the top left side of the article).

Working closely with James Patterson, Jane Jensen, author and award-winning game designer and creator of the adventure game series 'Gabriel Knight,' aims to capture the gritty plots and female strength of the super-sleuth detectives in the online casual game, according to an official report. But here's James Patterson saying a few:

"We are excited to introduce the Women's Murder Club as our first interactive product for the mass-market audience. Our new casual game joins an already successful legacy established by the books and continued by the franchise's recent TV debut, and we are eager to offer fans a way to get more deeply involved in the stories of the WMC."

So basically, the collaboration with James Patterson Entertainment will see Oberon Media creating a series of casual games based on the WMC franchise, set for release via its extensive network of multi-platform distribution partnerships worldwide. Oberon Media is best known for publishing casual titles such as Dream Day: Wedding and Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile. Additionally, Elephant Entertainment will partner with Oberon Media to establish retail distribution for the casual game.
