Brian Heidik, the winner of the contest 'Survivor: Thailand' was recently arrested for shooting a puppy, using as weapon of choice a bow and arrow. It all happened not on the popular TV show, but in his backyard in Atlanta.
Charmaine, Brian's wife called the police on Tuesday, around 4 AM to report that her husband had just shot a dog for trespassing. She told the officers that Brian left the house earlier with a bunch of his friends and that she was awaken by a dog's loud yelping in the middle of the night.
When she went outside, she saw her husband stand on the porch, a few feet away from the bleeding animal. Scared, she went back into the house and locked herself in the bathroom, from where she also phoned the police.
Brian was detained into police custody and later released on a bail of $6,000. His wife also filed charges of assault and battery against him. His father said that the couple separated but is still living together for the sake of their child.
Heidik won the big prize in the contest, consisting of $1 million and Charmaine declares that he has never been the same ever since he returned home. 'I don't think he's ever adapted to real life since then. He thinks he can do anything. He thinks he's invincible', added the tearful wife in a final attempt to understand her husband's act of cruelty.
