The latest issue of 'Us Weekly' printed a cover story that claims that the real reason behind the separation between Goldie Hawn's daughter and her rocker husband is the fact that she has been having a love affair with actor Owen Wilson.

Things between Kate and Owen are said to have heated on the set of their latest comedy, 'You, Me and Dupree', when they started seeing each other, on platonic terms at first. Later on, during the promotion tour for the movie, they got even closer, eventually ending up by sharing the same hotel room.

'This is not just a fling. Kate is crazy about him. Owen gives her so much attention, and she loves it! That's why she wants her marriage to be over', a source said in an exclusive interview with the magazine.

But it's not just Kate that is so entangled in the new found love, because Owen is also very involved in it and happy about the way things are going on. 'Owen is over the moon. [And he] is not-so-secretly hoping she will leave Chris, so they wouldn't have to hide. He is falling for her.', the same source says about the actor.

Kate Hudson's representative refused to make any comment regarding the latest rumors surrounding the split and the causes that led to it. A spokesperson for Owen Wilson told 'Us': 'Anything that suggests that the separation of Mrs. Hudson was caused by Mr. Wilson... is absolutely false'.
