The red-head who played the part of the cynical lawyer in the successful series 'Sex and the City' spoke for the first time about leading a totally different life than what she was accustomed to and about her girlfriend.
Cynthia was married for a long time to Danny Mozes, when she fell in love with a woman, dumped her husband and the father of her children and found new happiness by the side of Christine Marinoni. In a recent interview with 'New York' Magazine, she talks about her 'coming out' in September 2004, a moment which she still considers the worst period in her entire life.
'My girlfriend had the English press on her parent's lawn... They almost put me on the cover of "People" Magazine. I can't remember in what context they tell people this, but if someone is chasing you, stop running. And then they'll stop chasing you', Cynthia said about her run-in with the international tabloids.
And that was the only thing that made the situation almost too hard to handle. The actress says that the 'coming out' was not at all as the media implied: 'There wasn't a struggle, there wasn't an attempt to suppress. I met this woman, I fell in love with her and I am a public figure', Nixon recalls.
