Even if it's the 10 billionth time I'm saying this, I just have to do it: How could Nintendo ever miss? With so many titles for the Wii and DS, Nintendo's problem isn't sales, but keeping up with the buying rate. And here's another reason for that: Agetec, Inc has recently announced "Rhythm 'n Notes" for the DS, this fall, offering tonal and rhythmic music training in the form of entertaining piano and drumming games.

Rhythm 'n Notes is a perfect mixture of fun and education, featuring content of all ages. There will be:

- note lessons, encouraging players to recognize and identify not only notes but also complex chords; - rhythm exercises, teaching and testing the fundamentals of keeping time as well as advanced rhythmic patterns; - starting lessons, to initiate the beginner from start to finish; - advanced lessons, keeping experts on top of their game; - "Open practice mode," allowing players to familiarize themselves with all notes and chords, both by name and sound.

Rhythm 'n Notes is not just a fun game for your little handheld from Nintendo, but also a powerful learning tool. Parents should keep an eye out for this one in autumn. "Educational games that are truly fun are hard to come by," said Mark Johnson, Producer at Agetec, Inc. "Rhythm 'n Notes gets it right with addictive, enriching play."

There is a mix of gameplay elements as players learn the fundamentals of music composition. For Example: Drumming consists of actual tapping on the DS touchpad with the stylus to the beat of the rhythm in order to succeed. However, when it comes to tickling the ivories, a good ear is needed to match the proper tones. So all you have to do is try and become a good musician. You can start with Rhythm 'n Notes on your DS this fall.
