Saturday night, a vehicle that was carrying the 'Prison Break' star Lane Garrison and three teenagers was involved in a very serious accident that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old at the hospital. A police statement said the crash occurred somewhere in Beverly Hills but did not disclose any other information.
Apparently, the SUV jumped a curb and then hit a tree. Garrison suffered only minor injuries, but the rest of the passengers were not that lucky. One 15-year-old girl was taken to the hospital and is still in critical condition and another needed medical assistance but is now out of the woods.
The 17-year-old boy who was supposedly driving died after he was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Police are now trying to find out who exactly was behind the wheel (the car was registered to Garrison's name) and which were the causes of the accident.
This far, their hunch says that the boy was driving, and that the actor was on the back seat with the girls. The investigation will also establish whether alcohol can be listed as a cause for the tragic car crash and if Lane Garrison can be held responsible for the death of the 17-year-old teenager.
Garrison, born in Dallas, plays 'Tweener' in the Fox successful series 'Prison Break'. For the moment, neither he nor his spokesperson are available for comment. The actor reached universal fame once the 'Prison Break' show became more and more acclaimed. His future project includes working for 'Shooter', a movie for the big screen, scheduled to come out next year.
