The car crash that took place on Saturday somewhere in Beverly Hills is now being thoroughly investigated by the police, as they suspect that the driver was driving under the influence at the time it occurred.
Lane Garrison, who plays 'Tweener' in the popular television series, crashed his SUV that night, after the vehicle jumped a curb, into a tree, causing the death of a 17-year-old boy and serious injuries on two other 15-year-old girls who were also in the car.
At first, there was the question of what was a 26-year-old television star doing with three teenagers in a car. Then, it turned out that Garrison had just met them at a local supermarket, where they struck a conversation with him, professed their admiration and asked him to join them at a party. Said and done.
At the bash, Garrison had only one drink (in addition to the Margarite he had during dinner, earlier in the evening) and when it ended, accompanied by his three new acquaintances, he was heading towards his apartment, where he was supposed to meet with a woman, whose identity had been kept from the press.
A police spokesperson said that the actor looked and acted as if 'intoxicated'. But his high-powered attorney, Harold Braun, claims that his client doesn't even recall being involved in the car crash in the first place. According to his statement, Garrison has no memory of the crash that ended with the death of Vahagn Setian, the only thing that he is now aware of is waking on a hospital bed with a taxi coupon on his lap for his ride home.
Braun also offers other options on why the crash might have taken place, obviously doing everything to prevent the world from saying that this is just another case of drunk celebrity on the loose. 'There is still the possibility that someone put something in the drink', 'We're still trying to figure out what happened', 'Nobody known what happened, it's a mystery', are just a few of the statements Braun made since his client officially became a suspect of DUI.
