At the moment, it is waiting for its release in North America this spring as Namco Bandai clearly stated that a Tamagotchi based game is being worked on.

The game will support four players in multiplayer mode and is going to be the delight for those already familiar with Wii's unique control system, the “wiimote”. 15 different minigames are at hand in which players will never rest having to twist and swing the Wii Remotes like crazy.

The progress of the game makes it possible for players to upgrade their characters, using earned points and also customize headquarters to their favor. The object is to become president of the Tamagotchi planet.

Tamagotchi was originally created as a handheld virtual pet that fits even on a keychain. It was really popular in its days. Having only 3 buttons to use (A,B and C) to feed the pet, play with it and even clean after it made it really feel like a full-time job to keep your digital friend happy and try to raise it from the baby stage to the grandparent one.

Five stages (Baby, Kid, Teenager, Grownup, and Grandparent)were more than enough to keep your hands full, so just imagine what the gameplay will be like with a “wiimote” in your hand.

Wii sells better than ever before and game publishers didn't miss a thing so now the “party is on!”
