'LOTR: The Shores of Evendim' Expansion Pack Announced

If Middle Earth wasn't big enough for you, as of May, gamers can adventure to the shores of Evendim, the first free update to The Lord of the Rings Online. Less than a month after the launch of most complete and authentic recreation of Middle-earth, Turbine is delivering the first of many expansions to come to game.

Beginning with Book 9: Evendim players will have a tremendously big area to explore. 60 new quests wait to be completed, while major improvements to the popular music and monster play systems have been made.

The story here revolves around Ent roaming the forest of the Twilight Hills looking for the long-missing Entwives. He has dwelt in these hills ever since before the army of the last Alliance moved through to defeat Angmar and knows something of the events of that age. This is where players are challenged to protect the valuables of the abandoned city, to defy Angmar’s encroaching grip on Annúminas and to aid Aragorn in his quest to re-forge Narsil.
