David James 'DJ' Boyd was a contestant on the 'American Idol' show almost two years ago but his voice and talent got him only to the semi-finals. Maybe disappointed, he turned his attention to another 'artistic domain' and started to do some child pornography on his own. Or maybe he was just thinking that whoever pulls the R-Kelly move, must eventually become as famous as he is...

Boyd was arrested last month after a 14-year-old girl pressed charges against him and he remained in jail ever since. At the yesterday trial hearing he pleaded not guilty to pornography charges.

The 27-year old is accused of videotaping a sexual act with two under-age girls and of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. The next hearing is scheduled for September. If found guilty, the 'DJ' will spend the next 40 years of his life singing and looking pretty for other fellow offenders.

Meanwhile, he must start preparing for another trial that is to come his way, in which he is accused of unlawful supply of alcohol to minors and engaging in sexual activity with a minor. The preliminary hearing has been set on July 25.

What can anyone say; Mr. Boyd is an 'American Idol', indeed!
