Last night, the making of the fourth part of one of the greatest action-packed feature films became official. Tentatively called until now 'Die Hard: Reset', 'Variety' announced that the movie will be finally called 'Live Free Or Die Hard' and that, most important of all, Bruce Willis will reprise the part of bad ass cop John McClane.
But, if in the first three parts, McClane fought back small time criminals, in 'Live Free Or Die Hard', the threat is nationwide. The plot is set around July 4th, somewhere near Washington DC, and a terrorist attack on America's computer infrastructure aims to shut down the entire nation.
But the 'Yippee-Kai-Yay, motherf***er!' hero still has it going on and finally he proves to be the only one able to save the country from total destruction.
The movie will begin production in September and has been scheduled for release on June 29, 2007. It will be directed by Len Wiseman ('Underworld') and the script has already been penned by Mark Bomback.
'Our villain is high-tech, but the way McClane deals with him is low-tech. A fistfight still solves a lot of problems', Wiseman said about the plot. He assures the fans from all over the world that, although still resembling the three prior 'Die Hard' films, this one 'will be a more epic movie. It's on a much grander scale'.
