Explosive action

Set in the Harlem of the 70's, American Gangster: The Mobile Game follows the same story line as the movie it was made after. Don't rush to look it up, as the crime drama, American Gangster is being released today in the US.

Gameloft has developed another mobile game based on a film's action. This strategy often proves to be just right, bringing along quite a profit, so things might stand just the same in this case too. The game has not been played yet by the public, which makes it difficult to tell just how good it's potential is.

Taking gangsters and cramming them all on the small display screen of a mobile phone might be a dangerous choice, leading to gunshots. That's exactly what Gameloft counts on in order to make an explosive game that will keep players glued to their handsets. Having a movie to inspire the action is even better, as it will surely win over most of its fans on the mobile side as well.

There are 40 missions for the players to experience as crime lord, Lucas, and good cop, Roberts. Among the most thrilling missions, there also count setting up a weapons trade, eliminating enemy bosses and taking on a snitch in Lucas' gang. The game goes into the crime life which fights for firepower and influence and takes on dangerous missions to gain it.

"With their intriguing storylines, identifiable characters and intense action, crime dramas are an ideal backdrop for mobile games", said Michel Guillemot, president, Gameloft. Because of this, "We plan to work closely with Universal Pictures to deliver a powerful action title that is both a solid extension of the film's storyline, as well as a memorable and quality mobile game experience", he also added.

American Gangster: The Mobile Game is available now through most U.S. carriers. The movie will also have its premiere on November 2, which should bring all the gangster action people might want.
